Board Meeting

The Board of Mangers sets the tone and activities for the Society. By participating you have the opportunity to impact the vibrational spectroscopy community. Join a prestigious group of former Society managers by running for this position. Contact the Society Office for details.

Become a Mentor

There are three opportunities to become a mentor: participate as a member of a panel at a conference, sign up for conference speed mentoring, and check that you would like to be a mentor in your member profile. See our mentorship page.

Mentorship opportunities also spring naturally from attending conferences and meeting younger scientist exploring spectroscopy.

Mentoring

“Passionate volunteers make it happen…we should encourage all members to chip in! My own involvement in the Society has had a huge impact on my career success (36+ years and 3 promotions) and my development as a spectroscopist. I’ve developed leadership and negotiation skills. Being plugged in to this amazing network of top technical talent has enhanced my ability to deliver cutting edge spectroscopic technologies to my day-to-day problem-solving activities. I know who to call when I need information or technical help, and I feel very comfortable asking for it. Besides, my very dearest friends are members too!”
