Upcoming Courses Taught by Coblentz Society Members

Coblentz Society members frequently present courses at scientific conferences.  These courses deliver high quality practical training in vibrational spectroscopy.  Many are working in cooperation with our technical affiliate, the Society for Applied Spectroscopy (SAS).  Courses to be offered by our members at the upcoming SciX Conference in October include:

  • Practical Vibrational Spectroscopy (James A. de Haseth, University of Georgia, Coblentz Society Board Member 1985-89)

  • Spectral Searching (James A. de Haseth, University of Georgia, Coblentz Society Board Member 1985-89)

  • Introduction to Raman Spectroscopy and Imaging (David Tuschel, HORIBA Scientific, Coblentz Society Board Member 2015-19)

  • Problems with FT-IR Spectra and how to Avoid Them (Ellen Miseo, TeakOrigin, Coblentz Society Board Member 2013-17 and President-elect; Jenni Brigg, Pike Technologies; Gloria Story, P&G, Coblentz Society Board Member 2008-12)

  • Process Analytical Technology:  Out of the Lab and into the Line (Jim Rydzak, Specere Consulting, Coblentz Society Board Member 2001-05 and President 2013-15)

  • Portable Raman: What It Takes to Create Small Systems and What They Can Do for You (Katherine Bakeev, B&W Tek, long-time Coblentz Society member; Adam J. Hopkins, Metrohm, long-time Coblentz Society member)
